Are the tools fit for the job?

Currently, the NICE guidelines for diagnosing autism call for a multi-disciplinary team for under 16 and a specialist clinician for adults.
Often, diagnoses are only accepted by Psychiatrists when there are other key professionals with more specialist knowledge of Autism with or without additional lived experience.
This charity has done extensive research around diagnostic tools, clinicians who diagnose, and the system for diagnosis.
Working with their vast bank of willing volunteers, they have presented a brilliant report to the government outlining current issues and suggesting solutions.
